Dear Student, So you say you want to be an animal communicator? Well, on behalf of the animal kingdom, thank you, sincerely.... We need more really, really, really great animal communicators. I decided to ask the animals for their counsel on what I should share with you for this Dear Student letter. Below is is what they shared with me, loosely translated for you. 1. Learn to Love The Way The Animals Already Do We all know how loving and lovable animals are. In fact, most of us would agree that animals love unconditionally; a rare attribute in the human species. However, according to animals, unconditional love is a learned behavior and also a conditioned one. In order to really serve animals and the humans they love most, we must become unconditionally loving towards all beings, including ourselves, just as the animals are. Please note: I did not say to be unconditionally tolerant. There are intolerable acts and behaviors. Those things should not be tolerated. However, the people and the actions involved can still be loved and accepted in a similar way that animals love and accept us. Indeed it is true: animals know that all beings and all experiences are lovable and worthy and deserving of acceptance. As we become more unconditionally loving and unconditionally accepting of all of beings, all things, and all of existence, we will also become clearer channels of information and better able to translate the information that comes to and flows through us while communicating with our animal friends. 2. Strengthen Your Compassion Muscle Most animal communicators learn animal communication and telepathy because they love animals so much. In fact, many of them (indeed many animal lovers) will openly admit that they love animals more than then they love humans. Herein lies the challenge. One of the most difficult and challenging aspects of being an animal communicator is in hearing some of the most painful experiences that humans have with respect to their human-animal bond and the intimate relationships they share with their animal companions. Yes, there is so much love and joy too, of course...however, there is often a lot pain, sadness, grief, and suffering shared between humans and their animals. Many times, animals are hurt at the hand of well-meaning humans. This can be extremely difficult to hear and even more difficult to translate. We as animal communicators must be able to be clear channels to translate this kind of gut-wrenching, often heart-breaking information, and we must be able to do so with absolute compassion and zero judgement. It is, according to the animals, and in my opinion as a professional animal communicator and teacher, an absolute requirement to be a truly successful and effective animal communicator. We must honor the sacred and intimate bonds that humans and animals share on such a deep level so that in our presence, the animals and their humans feel safe enough to share their deepest and most intimate truths, even if those truths are painful. In order for that to happen, we animal communicators must strengthen and develop deep compassion and simultaneously clear away all of our judgments of right and wrong. We must hold all beings in the space of our inner compassionate witness. 3. Learn to Listen To The Silence It has often been said that many people talk to animals, but only few people listen to them. The truth is, most people are not great listeners. Even when they are listening, most folks have a part of their brain that is simultaneously thinking about what they are going to say next. If our brain is busy thinking, we are simply not as clear as we can be and we will likely miss the messages or at least some part of the messages. More importantly, listening is not something we learn do when we are communicating with an animal. In fact, by the time we are actively engaged in communicating with animals, we should have already learned how to really and truly listen. Listening is something we learn to do way before we actually engage in telepathic communication and dialogue with another living being. Practice listening to absolutely nothing and notice how much there is to hear. How does one do this? Practice listening to silence. Listen to trees. Listen to wind. Listen to voices. Listen not to messages, but rather, the sounds of everything in existence. Practice listening without thinking and without labeling what you hear. Practice listening without needing to respond. In the practice of true listening, you will learn to listen and hear like you have never listened and heard before. It is then that will you really, really, really be capable of hearing the animals in their voice and fully receiving their messages. 4. Learn To See With The Heart As an animal communicator and also as a professional teacher of animal communication and telepathy, I have often sat with animals who will not engage in any communication until they first feel a human through the human’s heart center. They are feeling, ie, "reading" our heart center. They are feeling, ie, "reading" our energy field. They are determining if we are a heart-centered being. Once they know this, they feel safe to proceed and know that it will be a worthwhile expenditure of their energy. Because animals have a free will, they do not have to communicate with a human if they choose not to...they do have a choice. And just like us humans, many of them want to know that their efforts will be received and that their investment of time and energy will be valuable. So they often scan us via our heart center. They want to know that our hearts are open. This means we must see, feel and sense through our heart muscle and the brain in our heart (indeed, science has confirmed, there is actual brain matter in the heart center). We must develop and strengthen our heart coherence so that we can see, sense and feel with our hearts to receive and translate the clearest messages with the maximum amount of effectiveness possible. There are many practices, meditations, tools and healing modalities which we can routinely apply to strengthen our heart coherence. I teach many of these in my full courses, workshops, and online healing events. 5. Do Your Internal Housekeeping After over ten years as a professional animal communicator and teacher, without question, the most effective animal communicators are those who are steadfast in their willingness and their commitment to do their inner housekeeping. This means an ongoing, lifetime commitment to working through our own internal emotional and mental issues which keep us trapped in our own egoic personalities, stories, dramas, and personal pain. I always say, animals know our secrets. They know when humans are holding onto emotional, mental and other forms of pain, sadness, trauma, drama, and energetic blocks. If we are not wide open within ourselves, willing to be truly real and authentic and as pure of heart, mind, body, and intention that we can possibly be, our blocks will get in the way of clear communication and telepathy. These same blocks will also interfere with animals fully trusting us and surrendering to full on, wide-open, two-way, telepathic and energetic communication. This means as human beings, we must commit ourselves to our own inner spiritual journey of personal healing, growth, transformation, ascension and evolution. 6. Raise Your Vibration We live in a vibrational universe where everything that happens is a vibration of energy. The highest, clearest and purest, most accurate information happens at the highest vibrations of energy. The higher our vibration, the more information we can pick up, receive and exchange and the more effectively we can translate it. Raising your vibration is an ongoing process. Just as with animal communication and telepathy, there is no one who cannot do this. In fact, everyone is ultimately meant to learn how. With practice and discipline, it is not only possible, it is inevitable. In all of my classes, workshops, seminars and healing circles we actively engage in processes, techniques, and practices where we do this in fun, easy and enjoyable ways which serve the highest and greatest good of all. 7. Remember That Everything and Everyone Is Connected In the highest order of all that exists, all that ever has been and all that ever will be, all beings are connected via consciousness and love. This is held true via The Universal Law of One, which is also a Law of Love. This means that ultimately, at the highest, purest, lightest levels of consciousness, we all are indeed one — all aspects and part of One True Infinite Source of Infinite Love and Infinite Consciousness. Animals know this. Since we are all connected — and all beings are indeed connected — we must always have reverence, respect, and honor for ourselves, our clients, and the animals in our reality. In so doing, this kind of honor, reverence, respect will reverberate through your experience and in all of your communications with animals and humans alike. Happy Communicating! These are some of the key inspirations and guidance that the animals asked me to share with you today. Please do let me know how this has helped you. I LOVE hearing from YOU! Please also keep me posted about your progress and if there is anything I can do to support and assist you on your journey. I wish you much love, joy and success in all of your animal endeavors!
