Welcome to my Animal Communication Practice Journal.
My name is Josh and I'm an always-learning animal communicator who started this site in April 2015. Though journaling does take a lot of time, I think it's invaluable for the learner, as it can give you insights into your conversations, help you see all the things you were accurate about, and lets you look back and remember, "Hey I can do this!" This is especially helpful in those moments — and sometimes there are many of them — that you doubt your abilities or past successes.
The journal entries below are not just filled with comments like "Here's what the dog said or what I thought I heard." They include different approaches I tried, sensations I felt, interactions I experienced, apprehensions I went through, and interpretations I intuited. I included them all because sometimes you don't want to just see the polished end-result. That can make you feel bad if you are already struggling, By reading about others' fears, approaches, insecurities, methods, successes, and failures, you realize you are not alone and there are more ways to "get there" than you may have thought. Maybe something here will help you in some small way to broaden your perspectives, expand the way you look at animal communication, and find your own voice, magic, and path to success.
Just so you know, I have changed many of the names and photos so that beginning learners won't be tempted to compare what I got from a particular animal and what they got — or feel any pressure to have the kinds of conversations I have had after years of practice. I want you to just have the connection and experience you do — because it truly reflects you and your perfect place in this process.
Oh yeah, and if you scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll see what my journal entries looked like during my first year — much different than the full-fledged conversations I began having later. It's great to see, especially if you are just beginning. I started out just like most others, trying to sense the animal's energy or detect personality traits or grasp anything that might seem real. Most of the time I felt like I was flying blind. But I kept going. And it got better!
